- AMY PRICE

MODEL Laura Dundovic is ready to share her favourite Gold Coast haunts.

Partnering with the new AVANI Broadbeach, which launches today, Dundovic will be on the Coast this week to provide local recommendations as part of the hotel’s Keys to the City initiative, which gives guests the opportunity to ask a local for advice.

“Usually whenever it’s a good day you’ll find me somewhere on the Gold Coast,” she said.

“I love Tallebudgera. That’s one of my favourite beaches. I love Burleigh as well; BSKT cafe. I spend a lot of time at Pacific Fair. It’s probably one of my favourite places to shop.”

The model and TV presenter is also trying her hand at acting after shooting a role in an Australian romantic comedy.

While her rugby star boyfriend Quade Cooper ponders his next move after finishing at the Queensland Reds, the former Miss Universe Australia said she would continue splitting her time between Brisbane and Sydney, where she wrapped independent film A Long Night last month.

“Travel has been part of our relationship from the beginning,” said Dundovic, who lived in France during Cooper’s stint playing French rugby and is now renovating their home in Bulimba.

“Even when I was living in France I was still working back at home and studying.”

Dundovic’s part in A Long Night is her biggest acting gig, starring alongside Chantelle Barry, an original member of Popstars band Bardot, Hey Dad’s Rachael Beck and Catching Milat’s Mal Kennard.

“It comes out in 2018 so it’ll be interesting to see where everything goes from there,” she said.

“I’ve ticked quite a few things off my bucket list this year and I always enjoy work that involves travel so hopefully that’s on the cards for me.”
