While the company had no individual data for listening figures in Australia, Sheeran has 47 million monthly Spotify listeners globally.
Sheeran’s album Divide was the most streamed album of the year in Australia and worldwide with 3.1 billion streams. His single Shape of You was not only the most streamed song of the year with 1.4 billion streams, but the most streamed track in Spotify’s history. Sheeran is on track to have the biggest tour in Australian history next year.
