MUSICAL CULTURE CLUB

NEW and established artists took part in Bleach* Festival’s inaugural music camp for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander musicians over five days on the Gold Coast.

Musicians from across Queensland shared their culture and concluded with a community performance of music and yarns.

The camp provided a sneak-peek into the planning for Festival 2018, the arts and culture program of GC2018.

Indigenous musicians had the opportunity to collaborate with a team of mentoring artists including Brian Ritchie (Violent Femmes), Fred Leone (Black Arm Band), Kyle Slabb (Director of Jaali Inc), Leah Flanagan, (vocals), Veronique Serret (strings), Sam Pankhurst (bass) and Greg Sheehan (percussion).
