’Police murder’ man in court

- CHRISTOPHER HARRIS

A MAN who called for the ambush and violent murder of NSW police officers in a hate-filled 40-minute online rant will face court today.

Police swooped on Keith Knights, 37, in Queensland after a warrant was issued for his arrest after the video in which he urged people to take up arms against the police was posted on the internet.

The 40-minute video of the diatribe was broadcast live and posted to the group Freeman Delusion The Organized Pseudolegal Commercial Argument in Australia.

In the footage Knights complains about NSW Police before calling for others to join him in ambushing them.

“It is time to rise up and shut down these drug-dealing cops. So when they come for their cut, for their bunch of chemicals, you have every right as free citizens to ambush them and to kill them,” he says.

“And yes you did hear me right, that is what I said. Don’t do it in a way that endangers you or your family.

“There are several locations around the shire, around the Northern Rivers that would make excellent locations for an ambush. I say it is time to play these f ...... at their own game.

“It is time to rise up and hovel these a ....... and take away their weapons, take away their vehicles, take away their ability to communicate. It is quite useful being an engineer, I also know a thing or two about strategy and tactics.

“I am at the edge … I have got nothing to lose basically.”

He appeared at Brisbane Court yesterday afternoon and will appear at Lismore Local Court today. He is expected to be charged with soliciting to murder (endeavour to persuade), and sending a threatening document to kill.
