BOB’S BLUES BID IN NICK OF TIME

COUNCILLORS were this week given a sneak preview of one of the acts in the second line-up of Blues on Broadbeach to be announced after Christmas.

Broadbeach Alliance CEO Jan McCormick told a governance committee meeting: “The Waves are one of them and there are a whole lot of others”.

The band features councillor and Bananas in Pyjamas creator Bob La Castra, who has been known to be late for council meetings. Committee chair William Owen-Jones asked about the band. “Do they turn up on time?”
