Jacks among the Tweed signings

-

THE brother of Melbourne Storm playmaker Ryley Jacks leads a list of out-of-state recruits bolstering Tweed Heads’ Queensland Cup stocks.

Rhys Jacks, a half or hooker, has joined the Seagulls after a stint playing for the booming Toronto Wolfpack outfit.

His recruitment is complemented by a number of players lured north from the NSW Cup competition.

Halfback Eli Levido and lock Cheyne Whitelaw have signed from North Sydney along with centre Ryland Jacobs from Wests Tigers.

However Tweed have missed out on securing the services of Oshae Tuiasau. The prop played for the club before switching to Townsville in 2017.

It’s understood he will line up for Norths next year alongside fellow big man Carne Doyle-Manga, who accepted a bigger money offer to move from Piggabeen to Nundah.

Forward Nick Harrold is likely to take a step back from state league football due to work commitments.
