Coast flavour to development squad
Jodie Kenny (Wamuran, QLD), Rosie Malone (Molendinar, QLD) and Teagan Richards (Biggera Waters, QLD) have all been included in the squad.
Both Kenny and Malone are also in line to earn a call up to the national senior side that will compete in the Spain Test series in Perth in January.
The pair will be among six players who will attend the senior squad’s January camp in the lead up to the series.
“We’ve selected people who we think will help us develop a group that can win a medal in Tokyo,” Hockeyroos head coach Paul Gaudoin said.
“We want to make sure the Development Squad is about preparing people to be able to play for Australia.”
