COUNTDOWN CONTINUES INTO THE CITY’S MOST INFLUENTIA­L

COAST golden girl Stephanie Gilmore has taken 68th spot on the 2017 Gold Coast Bulletin Power 100 list, recognisin­g her impressive influence in sport, fashion and culture.

The six-time world champion surfer is a household name, who is also an accomplish­ed guitarist and has graced the stages of some of the nation’s biggest music festivals.

Gilmore is among the second instalment of 20 entrants to the 2017 list, which have been revealed exclusivel­y to subscriber­s at goldcoastb­ulletin.com.au today.

Others landing positions between 80 and 61 include a lawyer, resort owner, politician, researcher and a beer brewer.

The latest edition joins numbers 81-100 which were revealed on Saturday.

Further instalment­s will be unveiled daily this week, ahead of the release of the full list in a 32-page gloss magazine inside the Gold Coast Bulletin on Friday.

The magazine will also include data on where powerbroke­rs have tracked in the past eight years, stories about those who fell off the list this year and a brand new feature on Gold Coast power couples – the influentia­l combinatio­ns of characters who rule the city together.

There are 15 new people on the list in 2017, reflecting the transience of power in our vibrant city as well as the blossoming start-up scene.
