Turf club’s about face
THE Gold Coast Turf Club apparently has ‘stabled’ its opposition to developer Bob Ell building twin towers opposite its Bundall track.
In April, the city council knocked back the Ell plan, which included a tavern and was supported by Magic Millions joint owner Gerry Harvey.
Ell’s appealing that ruling and it seems the club, originally anti the plan, has changed its mind in light of it subsequently revealing its own possible apartment project fronting the track.
