Whole Lotto winners in Queensland’s luckiest region

IF you live on the Gold Coast your luck could be in – the city has had more divison one Lotto winners this year than anywhere else in Queensland.

According to data compiled by the Lott, the Coast churned out 13 division one winning entries totalling just over $9 million in the past 12 months.

That was four more than the second luckiest region, Far North Queensland.

The luckiest postcodes on the Coast were 4217, which includes Surfers Paradise and Bundall, and 4216, which includes Runaway Bay and Coombabah. Both recorded three division one wins each.

Helensvale (4212) followed close behind, recording two division one wins.

The highest prize win on the Coast was a $1.4 million dollar ticket bought at Coombabah.

Golden Casket spokesman Matt Hart said there were 63 new millionaires across Queensland this year.
