Boy, 5, hit by buggy

A FIVE-YEAR-OLD boy was treated for “minor abrasions” after being run over by a golf buggy at Hope Island last night.

The boy was hit on The Promenade, Sanctuary Cove at 6.30pm.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the boy was transported to hospital after being found “under the vehicle”.

The buggy came to rest in a garden after coming off the concrete road in the village centre.

Two ambulance crews responded to the incident and police attended the scene.
