MEGA DISPLAY VILLAGE OPENS
THE Gold Coast’s biggest display home village will officially open today at Helensvale.
A total of 31 homes from 10 builders will be on show at The Surrounds – Villawood Properties’ $500 million Helensvale community.
Deputy Mayor Donna Gates will be on hand to officially unveil the village along with a who’s who of the property sector.
The opening coincides with this week’s announcement that passengers get to ride the second stage of the light rail from Sunday.
“The light rail connection at Helensvale was the missing link between the Gold Coast and Brisbane,” Villawood Properties’ Tony Johnson said. On completion, the Surrounds will feature about 620 homes as well as parks, barbecue areas, playgrounds, leisure centre, lap pool, cafe and gym.
It is being built on the former Gold Coast Country Club site at Country Club Dr.
