Mangoes recalled

-

MORE than 120,000 mangoes shipped to South Australia from Queensland have been recalled after the discovery of fruit fly larvae in some fruit.

Biosecurity SA has required a distributor to recall all produce from the affected grower which is still in storage or on supermarket shelves, including all produce sent to South Australia since the beginning of December.

However, it says the discovery of larvae does not constitute an outbreak of fruit fly and the industry says there will be no shortage over Christmas.
