Falling foul of the law

A TWEED man fell out of his car before returning a highrange drink driving reading last week.

At 6.43pm on Wednesday, it is alleged a 49-year-old man from Tweed Heads drove into a carpark on Wharf St, Tweed Heads where he fell over upon exiting his car and a member of the public called police.

Police arrived a short time later and the driver of the vehicle was breath tested, returning a positive reading of 0.243.

The man will appear at the Tweed Heads Local Court on January 8.
