MODELLING DREAM A CALL AWAY

- HANNAH SBEGHEN

STACEY Beachley is anxiously waiting by her phone for a call that could change her life forever.

The 18-year-old from Helensvale is hoping to be selected to travel to Bali for the final of the Australian Supermodel of the Year competition.

“It’s been such an unreal adventure, I feel like it's a dream,” she said.

“In high school I was bullied because I didn’t fit in so this has been such a crazy experience.”

The Coombabah High student said she entered on a whim but wanted to teach girls to embrace who they are and be confident.

Miss Beachley spends most of her time working at Movie World but hopes to be a Victoria Secret model.

“My biggest idols are Gigi Hadid and Candice Swanepoel,” she said.

“The competition has been such a great adventure where some days I’m at my ordinary job and other days I’m at a photoshoot.”
