FISHING

-

Broadwater: Plenty of sand crabs around. In The Seaway there’s still good jew fish and trevally. Still plenty of flathead in the northern Broadwater and in good numbers.

Jumpinpin: Still tailor to be caught up there, most on the run-in tide. And there are some good jew at the Pin Bar.

Offshore: The spotty mackerel have beencaught at Mermaid Beach and Palm Beach Reef in the last three or four days.

A few little black marlin have been caught in the past week, heading out to about 40-50m and trolling some little 6in skirted lures. Aalso wahoo and dolphin fish in that area.

Freshwater: Hinze Dam has been fishing well. Fish the point and the tree edges with spinner bates or early in the morning or late in the evening with surface lures, for bass and saratoga. Good whiting up in the Nerang River around Evandale. By Gold Coast Fishing Tackle
