Packers put star on ice
AARON Rodgers’ return from a broken right collarbone lasted all of one week. The Green Bay Packers yesterday placed their star quarterback on injured reserve, officially ending his season after he returned from an eight-week absence to start Sunday’s loss against the Carolina Panthers.
Rodgers was hit seven times in Sunday’s 31-24 loss. Green Bay (7-7) are out of playoff contention after Atlanta beat Tampa Bay. Rodgers ranks second in franchise history in passing yards and touchdowns thrown.
