Condev registers charity
ROBINA-BASED Condev Construction has registered its charity — Condev Cares — fulfilling a long-held goal by founders Steve and Tracy Marais.
Donations to the fund are now tax deductible, as it has been registered with the ATO as a public ancillary fund, and with the Australian Charities and Not-For-Profits Commission.
Mr Marais said it was a vital step forward for Condev Cares.
“From the time Tracy and I established Condev in 2002, we knew we wanted our business to be known not just for its high quality of work and professionalism, but its contribution to the community,” Mr Marais said.
“Our values of family, community and the Australian spirit guide our actions at Condev, and the establishment of a charity is strongly aligned with those values.”
Since 2014, Condev Cares has raised around $200,000 through events such as the Condev Cares Charity Golf Day, the Condev Cares and Robina Roos AFL Day, and the Kokoda Challenge.
