Bay death suspicious

BYRON Bay police are treating the death of a 28-year-old local man as suspicious.

Tweed Byron Local Area Command detectives are now investigating the sudden death of a man at a home in the tourist town on Christmas night.

Emergency services were called to a Carlyle St property about 11.30pm, after receiving reports a man had collapsed.

The 28-year-old Ewingsdale man was unable to be revived and died at the scene.

Officers are calling on anyone who may have information to come forward and phone Byron Bay Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
