In a disturbing attack, at 8.15am a man grabbed a 43year-old woman while she on a run along Castello Circuit in Varsity Lakes but she managed to escape. Police said a similar incident had happened at the same park earlier this year.

Robina councillor Hermann Vorster said he would fund crime prevention through environmental design assessments to see how the area could me made safer.

He also said he would seek approval from council to fund a new CCTV camera.
