HERVEY GIVES A SIGN THAT FUN IS COMING

-

JUST when you thought this summer season couldn’t possibly get any better believe me it is about to.

I have just spent a few days fishing on the inside of Fraser Island around Rooneys Point.

I grew up in Hervey Bay so I know how incredible the fishing can be in the area, but I was blown away by the number of mackerel at the moment.

Here is the really good news: they are all heading our way to the GC.

History dictates that if Hervey Bay has a good marlin season we do too, and the same with the spottie and Spanish mackerel.

Acres of really good size spottie mackerel were busting the waters all day everyday.

All fisherman reached their bag limit (5) without casting a lure 10 times, they should arrive within the next month.

We are enjoying one of the best marlin seasons in years and it’s looking at backing that up with one of the best mackerel seasons too.
