Cabeza OK for Bernborough

-

CO-TRAINER Adrian Bott has tipped Cabeza De Vaca to show no ill-effects from his tough run in the Villiers when he starts favourite in the Bernborough Handicap (1600m) at Doomben tomorrow.

Cabeza De Vaca set a fearsome pace in the Villiers (1600m) at Randwick on December 16 and held a big margin inside the 300m point, only to be gunned down by Crack Me Up.

Bott said the stable monitored Cabeza De Vaca closely after the race and he was still thriving this campaign.

If successful tomorrow, Cabeza De Vaca will pick up a $50,000 bonus as part of the promotion to lure Villiers runners to the Bernborough.
