WATCH TV and we’re bombarded with commercials that tell us what’s on sale and where and clearly that message gets across to people. So I cannot understand why we don’t have commercials about road rules and safety which would go towards lowering the road toll. Now we have lost yet another tourist to drowning on our beaches. We should also have educational commercials on what to look out for when going to the beach. TV is the place to get the message out there so why aren’t we bombarded with commercials of this kind? Stick to sport Libby. You’re not good at radio ... afternoon jibber not funny. Just play the music. bobby
This question is on everyones lips, will the lunatic Melb terrorist who mowed down innocent Australians have his citizenship revoked and be deported as the public are demanding? If so this will be a warning for other potential terrorists to think twice. KenW.
Ed Shearin would have to be the scruffiest singer I have ever seen with that disgusting hairstyle and wiskers and dresses like a homeless man. A bad image for our young ones.
The sales prices are what we should be paying all year. After all they don’t sell at a loss. Ron
So, how much will the NYE fireworks contribute to pollution and global warming? BAN FIREWORKS
If New Year’s Eve is typical of the food/beverages available our Comm Games visitors are going to starve
I remember when one Sean Fitzpatrick was asked to pick an Anzac team in 2003. Strangly he didn’t pick one Wallaby ... boy did he have egg all over his face.
Regarding the negative article on light rail (30/12/2017). The knockers need to get off our back and just get on with light rail 3A and 3B. We need it yesterday not 2023. Graeme Burger
My New Year’s resolution is to send in more text messages to the Gold Coast Bulletin. TB
The young ones are the ones who are abusing the public transport system expecting a free ride, typical of this generation who expect everything for nothing. Surfside needs to grow some spine and instruct their drivers, “No money, no ride”. KenW.
More rail problems in advance of Commonwealth Games train diversions. Jackie
Trad got out quickly. That’s her diverson.
Sorry, who said you can swim and surf between the flags. Standing room only if you are lucky. Non surfer
Who cares about Schapelle Corby. She’s just a drug mule. No one wants to see her face in the paper.
How many greenies who are responsible for closing down of coal mines and power stations, raising our power bills, will attend the fireworks and enjoy watching tons of pollution released? Talk about hypocrits.
I would like to know ... Where is all the extra parking for the new surf club at Broadbeach?
Ah Sue, whining this time about getting to Bali. Why not support Australian jobs, businesses, economics and future growth and holiday in Australia? Australia First!
So Sue, who likes to tell us how to live, doesn’t support our own tourist destinations! Shame on you.
All flights coming into Australia and all domestic flights should have a short surf safe awareness film playing, throughout the flights. Also, have same playing in Doctors waiting rooms etc, on the many screens dotted around.
Barry C., agree with you 100%. Absolute disgrace that the road to Springbrook is still closed. Not only that, but has been just left unworked on! Unbelievable! Springbrook is one of our crown jewels of the Gold Coast and a must visit for all, locals and visitors alike. It must be fixed ASAP.
Wrecking my mower attempting to mow the stones and potholes NBN created on the nature strip in McKenzie Drive. Love the new layout of the Bulletin today (30/12). Looks good and easy to read. Great presentation.
If people had returned Goss instead of the LNP we would have had an alternative to the M1. So harden up and with it all you whingers.
I take it all the groundsmen at the MCG had their money on the draw the way they rushed out to cover the wicket on the fourth day. Worst pitch ever. Bres
When will the media realise that the Monarchy actually do a job and not just there for celebrity amusement?
Whoever sent the New York Yacht Club txt has little or no knowledge of the basic Port and Starboard sailing rule. Comanche was on starboard and Wild Oats on port. The rules state the boat on port must give way to the boat on starboard and must not change coarse inside its area so there is not a collision. But a yachting book with the rules will help you.
