-

Broadwater: Plenty of mud crabs and some sand crabs. Also some good whiting and flathead on the sand banks. Still some good jew fish and trevally in the Seaway. Crabb Island is a great place for beginners. Whiting and flatties on the high tide in the afternoon.

Jumpinpin: There’s still tailor to be caught, most on the runin tide. Good jew around at the Pin Bar on the tide changes. All sorts of fish from snapper and mangrove jack to whiting are being caught at night.

Offshore: Spotted mackerel at Mermaid Beach and Palm Beach Reef. Plenty of black marlin if you head out to about 20-60m, trolling six inch skirted lures.

Freshwater: Hinze Dam has been fishing well. Fish the point and the tree edges with spinner baits or early morning/late evening with surface lures, you’ll catch bass and saratoga. By Gold Coast Fishing Tackle
