Sir David in quit talk
SIR David Attenborough has said he will finally stop working when he “can’t walk up and down steps any more”.
The 91-year-old wildlife presenter also hinted he might quit if he noticed his work was not up to scratch.
“If I can’t walk up and down steps any more, that will stop me,” he said, adding: “Yes, I do dread not working.”
He said: “I would like to think I’d be able to detect when I couldn’t find the right words any more.
“If I think I’m not producing commentary with any freshness ... I hope I would be able to recognise it before someone else told me.’
