SUMMARY

A minor rise in SSE/ SE windswell sees junky 2 to 3ft waves south of the border later on Thursday through early Friday, grading to about 1 to 2ft across southern QLD. A pattern of moderate to fresh S to SE winds persists into the end of the week before turning E on Saturday and NE as the swell fades to tiny levels on Sunday/ Monday.

TODAY

Poorly organised S windswell up to a junky 1 to 2ft+ across northern NSW south facing breaks, picking up to a mushy 2 to 3ft during the afternoon. Grading to 1 to 2ft exposed Qld beaches and tiny elsewhere. Wind: Early inshore SSW 10 to 15 knots tending S during the morning, then SSE to SE 15 to 20 knots during the afternoon.

TOMORROW

SSE windswell ranging from 1 to 3ft across northern NSW south facing breaks, grading to 1 to 2ft exposed Qld beaches and tiny inside the points and bays.

Wind: Early SSW to SW tending SE 10 to 15 knots during the afternoon.

SATURDAY

SE windswell up to 2ft+ exposed northern NSW south facing breaks, grading to 1 to 2ft along exposed QLD coasts and tiny to near flat inside the points and bays.

Wind: Early light SW to SSE tending ESE to ENE 10 to 15 knots during the afternoon.

SUNDAY

Residual SE swell around 1 to 2ft max exposed northern NSW beaches, grading to 1ft+ southern QLD exposed breaks and near-flat inside the points and bays. Wind: Early light variable tending NE 5 to 15 knots during the afternoon.

MONDAY

Traces of SE and NE swell around 1ft exposed breaks, basically flat elsewhere. Wind: Early light NNW tending NNE 10 to 20 knots during the afternoon.
