Juniors fight for world title

THE best junior surfers on the planet have descended on the NSW South Coast town of Kiama for the world junior championship.

The event, which is likely to begin today, features current women’s WSL junior champion Macy Callaghan, of Australia.

The 17-year-old Callaghan took out the 2016 world title which kicked off a stellar competitive season and saw her only narrowly miss out on qualifying for the elite Championship Tour (CT).
