Third round to haunt Marc

Cox claims a World first

-

MARC Leishman has seemingly squandered his chance to kick off 2018 with a US PGA Tour victory, surrendering the lead during a disastrous third round of the Tournament of Champions in Hawaii.

The Australian world No.12 began day three yesterday at Kapalua’s Plantation course in Maui in a share of the lead but dropped three shots during a disappointing 76 in strong winds. Leishman, who won twice on the US Tour last year, fell to sevenunder-par and a share of 12th. MOGULS skier Britt Cox has bounced back to her best form with victory in the first World Cup event of the year in Canada.

Cox, who wasn’t at her best in the past two events where she finished off the podium, took out the super final in Calgary yesterday.

It was a successful day for the Australian contingent with men’s Winter Olympic medal hopeful Matt Graham finishing third.

Victorian Cox has shone since the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games.
