EARLIER START FOR BUYERS
LAST year’s Magic Millions January yearlings sales week set a record for turnover of $146 million with a touch under 1000 lots on offer. This year is set to repeat it if not better it. The lots entered for sale is at 1062, with 20 to 30 more horses set to go under the hammer each day of the sales which start tomorrow at 10am.
To accommodate the extra numbers, the sales are starting an hour earlier each day than last year, which Magic Millions bloodstock consultant James Dawson says is aimed at ensuring buyers still have time to enjoy the city at night.
