Ducklings rescued
A FAMILY of wood ducks have been safely reunited after firefighters rescued five ducklings from a drain in Bonogin.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services received a call at 8am yesterday to reports ducklings were stuck down a Tulip Wood Dr drain.
The rescue took about ten minutes as firefighters removed the drain cover and hopped into the small space to collect the fluffy babies.
One by one, the ducklings were scooped into a cardboard box.
Minutes later, their frantic, watchful mother was happily reunited with her five ducklings – far away from the drain.
