Estate fight over Manson
A FIGHT is looming over the body and possessions of Charles Manson and an estate that could cash in on songs he wrote used by The Beach Boys and Guns N’ Roses.
Manson, 83, died in November, nearly a half-century after orchestrating the 1969 killings of pregnant Sharon Tate and eight others. There are at least two conflicting wills and claims by a purported son, grandson and pen pal. They all seek control of an estate that includes commercial rights to his name, image and mementos, which could fetch thousands from “murderabilia” collectors.
