Tech outfit gains ‘grunt’
BRISBANE tech outfit GIS People is poised to take on the world this year and has its sights fixed firmly on an ambitious expansion in the US.
The fast-growing company, known for its flagship geospatial application Gruntify, has already enjoyed success across Australia since it was launched in 2010.
But founder Igor Stjepanovic is now focused on licensing his software to businesses and state and local across America.
After spending three months in San Francisco last year, Mr Stjepanovic plans to return next month to open an office and continue his partnership with tech giants Microsoft and SAP.
He hopes to strike deals with the peak body representing more than 3000 counties across the US, as well as with public transport authorities. governments
