Media dog’s best friend

A GOLD Coast lawyer has commended the public for using social media to track down the man who confessed to choking his dog on the southern Gold Coast.

Shine Lawyers’ solicitor Kimberly Allen said it was confronting to see stories of animal cruelty in the community.

“It is terribly sad that there are so many examples of this shocking behaviour towards helpless animals, it’s extremely confronting to read more stories coming out,” she said.

“It is good to see social media has been assisting to identify and apprehend these insensitive people.

“The public should be commended for acting together to stop these people and make them accountable.”
