THANKS to the guy on Sunday on Bermuda street lights who got out of his car to make sure mother duck and ducklings got across the road safely - was lovely to see.

Of course speeding fines are revenue-raising. Where do you think the money goes from court fines and toll roads? Barney

To no-name why is the Southport power outage the government’s fault when someone cuts a power cable? Macca

I watched the SBS program on the Ghan – and my wife thinks i’m boring-huh! garrison

I’m so cool this heat doesn’t bother me. Mando

Yesterday I observed Chinese tourists enjoying the kangaroos at Coombabah reserve. Then, the ugly oz young bogan and his mates drive by and yells at them to f . . k off back to china! If they all did, this city would go bankrupt.

You have to understand people like Craig Whitall have no regard for court orders, AVOs, licenses or the like and they are enabled by the court system. I would lay odds he was given parole on every prison term despite a bad record while inside. The problem is as obvious as is the solution. Robert

You haven’t got to be real smart to work out that the marriage of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle will end up a failure because she is into the crazy ’girl power' thing, a recipe for divorce. RhondaW.

We went for a drive to NSW on Friday. When we came back there was a large truck broken down going south. Traffic was funnelling into one lane, and backed up 10km No police presence – all it needed was two police officers to direct the inside lane onto the hard shoulder. End of problem and no build-up. They were probably all out giving speeding or dic fines. Glyn

I love and admire Donald Trump. He sends the PC driven, dishonest left wing dogooders crazy, especially those Hollywood hypocrites. Go Donald, give them hell for all the damage they have caused to America’s image and economy.

As security officers have no more powers than the paddle pop lion, when will Mark Ryan look at reassessing the antiquated laws for everyone safety? Bilbyx

Grow a brain. If u get rid of the hidden speed cameras, the bogans will speed up, and without

a doubt, double the road toll within the years end. A 1970s, permanently crippled victim of a speeding drunk driver.

Sunday Magic Millions carparking not full – no need then to fill in a lake for extra event carparking

In the wake of Dolly Amy Everett’s death, it is probably about time the Government has a look at what are children doing with the ability to access anything other than parents phones and the authorities for emergencies on their phones if they are under the age of 18. Dolly (RIP) TheGuru.

Well of course sneaky hidden road cameras are all about revenue raising always has and always will be even the cops agree. Accidents happen below the speed limit as well if drivers are under the influence of alcohol and drugs as well as other distractions like mobile phones. The only difference is the severity of the accident according to the speed they are travelling. The DOMinater

Sue Currumbin. It's none of your business, however, my dog travels in my Ute every day and is mortified on the days l have to leave her at home. In the tray permanently is a dog blanket, bucket of water, 1 or 2 bones and shade if she needs. But how would you do-gooders know any of that? Maybe you should just mind your own business sue currumbin? Dave

The best part about ODI cricket is not having to hear about potential entrants into the African jungle every five minutes - TB

Not only do Qld Magistrates give soft findings to criminals but if sentenced to jail, don’t worry you will have woollen outfits and bed sheets. I’m sure the homeless and pensioners are very happy with that outcome. Mark Ryan you’re an embarrassment to the community. Dan

It’s time the police spent some time at Goodwin Terrace and the esplanade booking the motorbikes that seem to think it’s their right to rev up their bikes and roar up Goodwin Terrace faster than the speed limit just to see how much noise they can make. If we did that with a noisy exhaust on our car we would get booked. Can also hear them going down the esplanade. Burleigh Resident

How hypocritical are the news departments on TV? They bleat on about equality and discrimination endlessly. Where are all the fat ugly people (like me) on screen, all the reporters are young fit and good looking. I like the reporters but don’t go on about equality when you don’t practice it. BigDog Carrara

One punch kiwi, its all on camera and still no conviction, sorry Aussie, you’re to soft!
