Price third in Dakar stage

AUSTRALIA’S Toby Price finished third in yesterday’s eighth stage of the Dakar Rally, to move up to fourth overall in the motorbike race.

The New South Welshman, who won in 2016, is now 7min 35sec behind overall leader Adrien van Beveren.

Van Beveren reclaimed the lead despite finishing seventh and is 22sec ahead of Argentinian Kevin Benavides.

The 498km stage was won by Frenchman Antoine Meo.
