Magpies fly in for camp

-

COLLINGWOOD have arrived on the Gold Coast for a week-long pre-season training camp.

The Magpies flew in to Queensland yesterday and will stay until Saturday as they use the summer heat and humidity of the Gold Coast to prepare for the 2018 AFL season.

Collingwood will conduct most of their training sessions at the Southport Sharks ground and at Somerset College in Mudgeeraba.

The Magpies had a camp in Brisbane two years ago but have used Victoria’s Falls Creek as their primary location for their pre-season training events in recent years. Collingwood, who have a huge national fan base including many supporters on the Coast, finished 15th last season with nine wins, 12 losses and one draw.
