Kate given good news

- KRISTY MUIR

FORMER Gold Coast radio personality Kate Carlyle is all smiles having been given the all clear after a suspicious mass in her mouth was removed surgically.

The former 102.9 Hot Tomato identity – who battled breast cancer in 2009 and 2012 and an aggressive form of acute myeloid leukaemia which required a bone-marrow transplant in January 2015 – was relieved to be told the mass on the floor of her mouth was benign.

Carlyle took to Instagram to let her followers know the good news about her pathology results after surgery at Pindara on Monday last week.

“Still have a mouth full of stitches – but this smile = #nomalignancy in my mouth! Thanks Dr Sam,” she posted.

“Awesome news! Love love that smile,” entertainment identity Jackie Cross commented. “I so love your attitude ... inspirational,” another user wrote.
