Gold Coast police looking for the public’s help to crack some cases

CAR THEFT — ASHMORE

A CAR was taken from outside an Ashmore tavern after the owner accidental­ly dropped the keys on the floor.

Around 8pm on January 3, a man picked up the keys in the gaming floor lounge and passed them to a second man.

That man took a black 2010 BMW sedan with the registrati­on 242 WUD.

Police would like to talk to the two men pictured as they may be able to help with investigat­ions.

STEALING — ROBINA

POLICE are keen to speak with two men in relation to a suspected theft at a Robina shopping centre last month.

Around 1pm on December 26, two men entered a Robina Town Centre Drive store where they allegedly hid two sets of expensive knife blocks in a shopping bag.

They then left the store. One man is described as caucasian, in his 40s, around 180cm tall with a slim build and short brown hair. He was wearing a black Adidas T-shirt, brown shorts and a grey baseball cap.

The second man is described as caucasian, in his 30s, 185cm tall with a medium build and short brown hair.

ATTEMPED THEFT — BROADBEACH

A MAN allegedly tried to steal a trolley full of groceries by simply walking out of a supermarke­t in Broadbeach.

On December 31, a man was spotted filling his trolley with food before leaving the store.

When an employee confronted him, he ran from the car park and left the trolley behind.

The man is described as caucasian, 165cm tall with a solid build and grey hair. He was wearing black shorts and shirt. Photo reference: QP17022998­31
