Man accused of credit card fraud
A MAN will face court today accused of spending just under $500 with a stolen credit card.
On December 8 a credit card was stolen from a backpacker at Byron Bay. Over the next few days the card was used to buy cigarettes, food and drinks, totalling $493.33.
A 35-year-old man from Byron Bay has been charged with dishonestly obtaining property by deception and has been bailed. He will appear at Byron Bay Local Court today.
