Kate’s vivid pink coat has them betting on baby girl

-

SHE wore the same pink coat twice while pregnant with her daughter, Princess Charlotte.

So could the Duchess of Cambridge’s Mulberry outfit yesterday be a clue to the sex of her next baby?

Those with a fondness for a flutter certainly thought so, with bookies seeing a flurry of bets that the royal, who is due in April, will be a girl.

Ladbrokes is offering even money that the duchess’s third child will be female, with Alice being the most popular name for a young princess – at odds of 6/1 – followed by Victoria.

Kate, 36, (pictured) who is around six months pregnant, was in Coventry with her husband Prince William for the city’s first major event since it was named the UK’s City of Culture for 2021.

The couple started their afternoon at Coventry Cathedral, where the duchess showed her maternal instincts by coming to the rescue of a young schoolboy who was feeling poorly after waiting three hours in the cold to see her.

Carole Flynn, a learning mentor at Corpus Christi Primary School, said: “She came over to speak to him, and noticed he was not very well ... It was lovely of her.

“She really took time with him. You can tell she is a mum, and has got that caring side.”
