Kart star goes up a gear

IF Beau Bromhead’s 2017 campaign was one to remember, then 2018 promises to be a big one for the Gold Coast gokarting talent.

The nine-year-old Gilston resident scooped the pool last year, winning the NSW Young Guns, Queensland Top Guns, Qld junior masters, Ipswich cadet titles, Queensland State Cup and South Queensland championship. Bromhead also finished second at the Queensland championship and Toowoomba winter carnival.

Since starting the sport two years ago, Bromhead has secured 42 podium finishes from 46 starts.

Bromhead will face a new challenge in 2018, moving up to cadet 12 level where he will face drivers up to the age of 13.
