Price drops to fifth in Dakar

AUSTRALIA’S Toby Price has finished 19th in stage 10 of the Dakar Rally, more than 50 minutes off the pace, to drop back to fifth overall.

Price’s countryman Rodney Faggotter is 20th overall. Scott Britnell is 61st of the 63 on two wheels.

Matthias Walkner grabbed the lead from Frenchman Adrien van Beveren, who crashed out during the stage between Salta and Belen.

In cars, reigning champion Stephane Peterhansel wonto reduce teammate Carlos Sainz’s lead to 50 minutes.
