Marijuana under rig

ALMOST 10kg of cannabis was found strapped to the bottom of a truck during an inspection in southwestern NSW.

Roads and Maritime Services inspectors stopped the Bdouble on the Hume Highway at Coolac on Wednesday and found a suitcase under a trailer filled with bags of what is believed to be 9.5kg of marijuana.

The inspectors called NSW police who arrested and charged the Queensland driver, 48.

He was refused bail to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court yesterday.
