$55m prize unclaimed

THE winner of a $55 million Powerball jackpot remains a mystery one week after their lucky numbers were drawn.

The seemingly unsuspecting multi-millionaire became Australia’s third-highest single lottery winner on January 11.

The unregistered ticket was sold at Scole Lotto and News at Brunswick, Melbourne. Owner Sam Misiano said he wants the winner to “come forward and put me out of my misery ... A lot of people come in off the streets and we have a lot of customers who buy but then work overseas ... it could be anybody.”
