Police hunt thug gang
DETECTIVES are hunting a gang of thugs who terrorised Gold Coasters across four suburbs in the early hours of Saturday morning.
It began around 2.30am, when a 50-year-old man was confronted by four men at Burleigh Heads. The group threatened him with a knife and struck him on the leg with a metal baseball bat before stealing his phone and wallet and fleeing in a stolen Navara.
The same group then stole a utility in Broadbeach Waters, assaulted a man in Ashmore before stealing from an Ashmore service station.
Around 6am a woman, 61, was threatened by three men with a knife in Carrara.
