Man stabbed

A MAN found on a Surfers Paradise street suffering a stab wound to the chest is recovering in hospital.

After being discovered on Clifford Street around 11.50pm the man was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital and underwent surgery.

A hospital spokesman said he was in a stable condition.
