Craig seeks joint profit

GREG Craig, property investor, is hoping to ‘park’ a profit on a Surfers Paradise site partly bought from the city council and approved for a 31-level apartment tower.

Greg paid the council $1.144 million last year for a former Thornton St park, one that spanned 405sq m and carried a $1.15 million rateable value, and spent $2.23 million buying Macquarie, a block of six units on adjoining land.

He’s chasing $6.5 million for the amalgamated site.
