Pakistan lose to Kiwis again

Patriots into Super Bowl

-

NEW Zealand extended their winning streak across all cricket formats at home this season to 12 matches when they beat Pakistan by seven wickets in the first T20 international.

Pakistan slumped to 6-38, flirting with their lowest-ever T20 score of 74, before being dismissed for 105 as they batted first on a substandard drop-in pitch at the Wellington Regional Stadium to open the three-match series.

The Kiwis in turn were 2-8 before being stabilised by a 49-run stand from Colin Munro and Tom Bruce. TOM Brady and the New England Patriots are going back to the Super Bowl in search of a sixth title.

They’ll face a Philadelphia Eagles team looking for their first Lombardi Trophy. Brady led the Patriots (15-3) back from a 10-point, fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 24-20 in the AFC championship. Starting his 36th playoff game, Brady shook off an injury to his right hand and the loss of top target Rob Gronkowski to rally the Patriots to their record 10th Super Bowl appearance.
