Lyon roars in pursuit of title at Amateur
YOUNG Gold Coast golfer Peter Lyon went within a whisker of making it into the semifinals of the Australian Amateur championship played in Perth.
The 20-year-old from the Southport Golf Club was beaten on the first sudden-death hole in a quarter-final of the match play series by Brisbane player Shae Wools-Cobb.
Wools-Cobb took the match with a birdie to Lyon’s par.
