BOLD BOND VOW TO GET MOJO BACK
NEW Bond University head coach Grant Anderson has promised to deliver a style of rugby that will wow fans and re-energise the side’s finals dreams.
Anderson (pictured) was moved into the top job during the Christmas break after work commitments restricted Adrian Thompson. The former Gold Coast Breakers champion prop is excited about the opportunity, having previously coached the club’s colts to success before stepping up as Sean Hedger’s Queensland Premier Rugby assistant in recent seasons.
With Hedger now in a director of rugby role, Anderson has his chance and will have a strong staff behind him featuring Hedger, Thompson, ex-National Rugby Championship coach Rod Seib and long-time The Southport School mentor Ray Thomas.
Hurt by their wooden spoon last year, Bond are supercharged to bounce back this season.
A productive recruitment drive has netted them livewire back Pierce Fitzgerald from Brothers and the Robina club are set to unleash their talent in the most explosive way possible.
